But one morning, out of nowhere, I woke up feeling \u201cdrunk.\u201d My balance was off. My head felt strange. And that sensation didn\u2019t go away.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"525\" data-end=\"777\">At first, I thought it would pass. But instead, it got worse. Supermarkets became overwhelming. Busy streets made me anxious. Even walking down a hallway took effort. I felt constantly overstimulated and exhausted\u2014mentally, physically, and emotionally.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"779\" data-end=\"919\">Over the next two and a half years, I went from doctor to doctor. Each one told me the same thing: <em data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"899\">\u201cIt\u2019s just stress.\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"902\" \/>I knew it wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"921\" data-end=\"1101\">No matter how I explained my symptoms\u2014the bouncing vision, the heaviness in my head, the fatigue\u2014they didn\u2019t take me seriously. It was frustrating. Lonely. And deeply invalidating.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1103\" data-end=\"1470\">It wasn\u2019t until 2024, when I was 34 years old, that I finally found a doctor who listened. After several specific tests, I was diagnosed with <strong data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1288\">Bilateral Vestibular Hypofunction (BVH)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1308\">oscillopsia<\/strong>. Finally, I had an answer. And with it, a mix of relief and sadness. Relief that I wasn\u2019t imagining things. Sadness that I had lost so much time being dismissed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1472\" data-end=\"1573\">About a years after diagnosis, I started using the <strong data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1535\">BalanceBelt<\/strong>. And honestly? It changed everything.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1575\" data-end=\"2028\">Now, after three months with the belt, my life has improved in ways I never thought possible. I can walk while texting. I can walk and talk while looking at the person next to me. I can go into a shopping mall or a supermarket without feeling like the world is spinning out of control. The belt doesn\u2019t fix everything, but it gives me a feeling of <strong data-start=\"1923\" data-end=\"1936\">stability<\/strong> I haven\u2019t felt in years. When I wear it, I feel <em data-start=\"1985\" data-end=\"1993\">normal<\/em> again\u2014especially when I\u2019m outside.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2030\" data-end=\"2377\">But I also want to be honest: BVH is still a big battle. Living with this condition at my age isn\u2019t easy. I get tired much faster than I used to. I still notice that I can\u2019t do as much in a day as I once could. The <strong data-start=\"2245\" data-end=\"2260\">oscillopsia<\/strong>\u2014where the world seems to bounce when I walk\u2014is still there. And I\u2019m still struggling to fully accept this diagnosis. Some days are really hard.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2407\" data-end=\"2676\">But the BalanceBelt gave me a piece of my life back. It gave me confidence. It gave me <em data-start=\"2500\" data-end=\"2512\">permission<\/em> to hope again. And while I may still be figuring out how to live with BVH and oscillopsia, at least now I feel like I\u2019m not fighting against my body quite so much.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2678\" data-end=\"2763\">\n<p data-start=\"2680\" data-end=\"2763\"><em data-start=\"2680\" data-end=\"2763\">\u201cThis belt didn\u2019t just help my balance.
